Booking Conditions

Our agreement

When you book a holiday, a contract is made when your booking is confirmed in writing by Meiklebob Holiday Cottages. A deposit is payable at the time of booking. The person signing the booking form accepts responsibility for payment for everyone listed on the booking and is responsible for ensuring that all other persons listed on the booking form have read the booking conditions below and are aware of the booking details.

Balance payment

The balance is due eight weeks before the date of departure. If you book less than eight weeks before departure, the full amount must be paid at the time of booking. Final reminders will not be sent.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be sent in writing and will be effective on the date which they are received Meiklebob Holiday Cottages. Cancellation charges are payable as follows:

It is therefore recommended that you insure your holiday to cover any cancellation charges if you have to cancel for any unforeseen circumstances.

Accommodation

Your accommodation will be ready for occupation from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please vacate by 10pm at the end of your stay. On departure the accommodation should be left in the same state of cleanliness and general order in which it was found.

Your accommodation will be cleaned, and fresh bedlinen, and towels placed in the cottage prior to your arrival. A spare set of bedlinen will be placed in the holiday cottage for your convenience.

All our accommodation is Non –Smoking.

Electricity and Heating are included in the rental price of the cottage.

A dog is allowed in each cottage, providing that you bring the dogs own bedding, and under no circumstances should any dog be allowed into the bedrooms. We reserve the right to charge for any extra cleaning necessary. Dog owners are asked to be aware that they are on a working farm, and a dog should be kept on a lead at all times, and never be left unattended.

In the unlikely event of any problem with your accommodation, please bring it to the attention of Meiklebob Holiday Cottages immediately. The cottages are privately owned, therefore please show respect for the property and report any breakages or damage. Your accommodation is not to be shared or let to anyone not listed on the booking form.

Information accuracy

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the accuracy of information is correct, we are relieved of any liability due to errors or omissions. The prices printed in brochures and fact sheets and web sites are valid at the time of publication. We reserve the right to increase or reduce any of these prices any time after publication. You will be advised of any changes at the time of booking.

Important Information

Please remember that the cottages are on a working farm, and to observe The Country Code at all times.
